Outdoor Feeder Switching
The GPWF1-24/630 makes and breaks load and overload current in distribution networks. Its 630 A load breaking rating is separate from its 20 kA / 4 s short-time withstand rating.
GreenPower
GPWF1-24kV is a pole-mounted SF6 load break switch for 24 kV, 630 A distribution networks operating at 50 or 60 Hz. It switches load and overload current on outdoor feeders, with manual and motorized operation through a local or remote controller. The assembly includes a sealed gas tank, silicone rubber bushings, a gas pressure gauge and mechanical position indication.
The GPWF1-24/630 makes and breaks load and overload current in distribution networks. Its 630 A load breaking rating is separate from its 20 kA / 4 s short-time withstand rating.
The electronic controller is housed in a stainless-steel enclosure and connected to the switch tank by control and power cables. Manual, motorized, local and remote operation are supported.
SF6 provides insulation and arc quenching inside the sealed tank. The specified filling pressure is 0.07 MPa at 20°C.
The switch can be operated manually or by its 24 V DC drive. The controller provides local and remote operation for outdoor feeder switching.
The switch body includes open/close indication, a manual blocking device and a gas pressure gauge. Control-box lamps provide a separate status indication.

The annual relative SF6 leakage rate is specified at no more than 0.5%. Moisture limits are 150 ppm at factory delivery and 300 ppm in service.
The manual lists a low-pressure lockout and alarm range of 0.02-0.04 MPa, and a high-pressure relief device operating range of 0.4-0.6 MPa. The normal rated operating pressure is 0.07 MPa.
Check the pressure gauge against the specified gas conditions and temperature-pressure curve before operation. Use the installation and operation manual for pressure checks and servicing.
The outline drawing shows 300 mm phase spacing and 650 × 390 mm base mounting centres. Confirm the support arrangement, pole fittings and terminal clearances using the final installation drawing.
Specify the 24 V DC operating supply and the local/remote control connections. During commissioning, check that the mechanical open/close indication agrees with the control-box lamps.
The catalog includes outline dimensions, a secondary schematic and pole-mounting diagrams. Confirm the control-cable pin assignments and mounting hardware for the supplied assembly.
